AutoTrek Can Help With CARS!!! (Car Allowance Rebate System)

Friday, July 24th, 2009

It is all over television, radio, and the internet – The CARS program goes into effect on Monday, July 27, 2009, and AutoTrek is your source for this program.  While AutoTrek is not an official CARS dealership, we work directly with the dealerships in Colorado that have a CARS designation.  In addition, we work with those dealerships’ fleet managers to get members even deeper discounts on new vehicles and they can still get the CARS rebate.

So if you are looking to participate in this government sponsored program, it is still a good idea for you to contact an AutoTrek Consultant first.

The CARS program is a $1 billion government program.  The program runs through November 1st or until the funds run out.  Many are saying the funds will be exhausted by Labor Day.

The CARS program only applies to purchase or lease of NEW vehicles and requires scrapping of eligible trade in vehicles.

Summer Driving Tips

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

summer-driving-photo1The next time you find yourself at the local gas station, do yourself a favor and look over your vehicle for signs of wear and tear.

Start by taking a minute to familiarize yourself with owner’s manual.  This valuable little book will cover the basics, such as changing a tire, replacing a battery, adding windshield washer fluid and checking coolant levels.

Next, take a minute to visually check fluid levels under the hood.  This includes coolant levels, windshield washer fluid, oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid and possibly even power steering fluid.  A bit of caution comes into play here as a warm, to hot engine may change fluid levels – once again please familiarize yourself with your owner’s manual.

Finally, you will need to take a trip around the outside of your vehicle.  Your visual journey begins with looking at items such as your tires, headlights, taillights, turn signals and windshield.  Are your tires properly inflated?  Does your windshield have pits or cracks?  Are your headlights shining straight? Are your turn signals and brake lights functioning properly?

These simple items only take a few moments to examine and can provide peace of mind for you and your family along your summer journeys.
